We’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to the overwhelming support of our partners, members, and community, we’ve reached the halfway mark of our fundraising campaign in just over two weeks! These donations send a clear message to our governments that the community wants this study of an alternative vision for the Federal Lands.

Support our Fundraising Campaign!
Land Over Landings has launched an Agricultural/Rural-Growth Economics Study of the Remaining Pickering Federal Lands, and we need your help. We are a volunteer, not-for-profit group. We operate on a shoestring, fuelled by tenacity, hard work, and vision. We’ve never had a fundraising campaign before. We’re starting one now.
We need you…again!
On Monday, November 21 at 7:00 pm, Council is scheduled to ratify its decision from last Monday’s meeting, altering the wording of Recommendation #4 for the Official Plan (see below). Council will also decide whether to call a by-election or appoint a new Councillor for Ward 3. We need you again at Pickering City Hall to hold Council’s feet to the fire.
Pickering asking to fast-track airport!?
Land Over Landings has learned that Pickering Council will debate asking the federal government to fast track the building of the Pickering Airport. Join us in the Council Chambers, 7 p.m., on Monday, November 14.
