Historic Brougham Community Hall, built in 1854, served for many decades as the meeting place of Pickering Township Council.

The de facto home of Land Over Landings for many years, the Hall was closed in 2020 during COVID-19. The City of Pickering has recently completed some repairs to the interior and the Hall has reopened, although Pickering has now voted to end its lease with Transport Canada.
