Just three months till we hit #50YearsofCitizenAction! Join us as we gather momentum, celebrate our collective remarkable achievements, and emphasize the urgency of the task that still lies ahead.
In our congratulatory letters to members of the new federal Cabinet, including Environment Minister Stephen Guilbeault, a renowned environmental activist and founder of Equiterre (all about facilitating transitions to a food-secure, equitable, and environmentally sound future), we reminded him and the ministers of Agriculture, Health, Innovation, Tourism, and Transport of Canada’s urgent need to meet our climate-change obligations by cutting emissions, planting trees, protecting land, improving mass transit, and tapping into the booming world of green economies and agri-tourism. We urge you to write too. One day soon, these Cabinet ministers may be voting on the future of the Federal Lands.
With the 50th on the horizon, you can also make your support visible by ordering our new sign (see above), which recognizes the decades of advocacy for No Pickering Airport! Pay what you can or wish; a donation of $10 covers our cost. Signs will be especially important during 2022, a provincial and municipal election year.
